Lost Lore Rested Series Reposado Tequila

Lost Lore Rested Series Reposado Tequila is an exceptional, small-batch, and completely additive-free reposado tequila that highlights the masterful interaction between highland terroir and delicate barrel maturation. Crafted by Master Distiller Sergio Cruz at the highly acclaimed Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados distillery (NOM 1414) in Arandas, Jalisco, this expression belongs to the refined "Rested Series." It is made from 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agave harvested at peak maturity from the iron-rich soils of Los Altos. The agave hearts are traditionally slow-cooked in stone brick ovens, crushed via roller mill, and fermented in open tanks to the sound of classical music to optimize yeast health. Following double distillation in copper pot stills, the liquid is rested in select used American white oak whiskey barrels. This patient resting process gently tames the highland agave's vibrant, peppery edge, clothing it in elegant layers of wood sweetness while ensuring the pure, crisp agave character remains the star of the show.

Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with grilled chicken fajitas, slow-cooked pork carnitas tacos, grilled sea bass with lime, medium-aged gouda cheese, or classic churros dusted with cinnamon sugar.

TASTING NOTES - A brilliant light straw-gold color with bright yellow highlights, displaying a remarkably clean, smooth, and velvety oiliness that creates slow, defined legs on the glass.

NOSE - Inviting and beautifully balanced, opening with upfront aromas of sweet cooked agave and fresh citrus peel, elegantly layered with soft vanilla bean, light caramel, warm cinnamon spice, and a touch of oak wood.
