Lost Lore Port Cask Strength Reposado Tequila is an extraordinary, highly limited-edition, and completely additive-free cask-strength reposado tequila that marks a stunning intersection between traditional Mexican distilling and European wine aging. Conceived by brand founder Arturo Lamas III and brought to life by legendary Master Distiller Sergio Cruz at the highly revered Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados distillery (NOM 1414) in Arandas, Jalisco, this special edition release showcases a masterful control over wood influence. The tequila is made from 100% estate-grown, fully mature Highland Blue Weber agave cooked slowly in brick ovens, crushed via roller mill, and fermented in open-air stainless steel tanks to the sound of classical music (the distillery’s signature "Mozart Method" to optimize yeast vitality). After double-distillation in copper pot stills, the spirit is aged in American white oak barrels before undergoing an exotic finishing period in hand-selected Spanish port wine casks. Bottled at an uncut cask strength of 48.0% ABV, this unadulterated high-proof reposado beautifully marries the bright, peppery energy of estate highland agave with the luscious berry, deep oak, and dark stone-fruit complexities of port wine.
