Tentenublo Escondite del Ardacho Veriquete Single Vineyard 2017

A magnificent and extraordinarily distinctive Spanish artisan red wine masterfully crafted by visionary winemaker Roberto Oliván in Rioja Alavesa. Sourced entirely from the tiny, 0.4-hectare 'Veriquete' single vineyard planted with old vines between 50 and 110 years of age, this 2017 vintage is a rare field blend consisting of roughly 80% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha, and 10% native white varieties (Viura and Malvasía). Fermented with indigenous yeasts and carefully matured to let the raw fruit and altitude terroir take center stage, it reveals an incredibly expressive bouquet of fresh black cherries, dark plums, crushed wild blackberries, and a distinct touch of damp forest floor, seamlessly interwoven with cinnamon, leather, cocoa, and a vibrant crackle of wet slate minerality.
