The age-old olive trees known as “Auru te Ulie” in the local dialect, which means “gold,” because olive oil was considered like a precious metal by the local people.

A robust and elegant Italian red, the 2023 Auru Nero di Troia captures the essence of Puglia's peasant culture with its warm and spicy character. This vegan and organic wine presents a deep ruby red color with violet reflections. On the nose, it offers a rich sensory profile featuring ripe plum, black pepper, coriander, and licorice. The palate is intense and well-structured, delivering balanced tannins and a savory finish with tertiary notes of cocoa and coffee.

The AURU pairs well with cured meats and traditional fresh pasta, such as “orecchiette” with broccoli rabe.
