A magnificent and beautifully expressive Spanish red wine masterfully crafted by the iconic winemaker Telmo Rodríguez in the arid, sun-drenched landscapes of Toro. Sourced from 21 exceptional plots of old, low-density bushvines belonging to eight traditional grape-growing families, this pure expression is a brilliant showcase of Tinta de Toro (the local adaptation of Tempranillo) co-fermented with a tiny fraction of native Albillo Mayor. Patiently matured for 14 months in large wooden foudres and oak barrels, it reveals an incredibly expressive and deep bouquet of ripe blackberries, dark plums, and black cherries, seamlessly layered with notes of sweet tobacco, cocoa, cedar, and crushed gravel minerals, all framed by rich, surprisingly polished tannins and a long, energetic finish.
