About the Signatory Vintage Symingtons Choice Teaninich 17 Year Old #2
This single-cask Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled at Teaninich on 22 November 2007 and independently bottled by Signatory Vintage for its premium Cask Strength Collection – Symington’s Choice. After its initial maturation, the whisky was finished in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead, Cask #2, before being bottled on 7 February 2025 at its natural cask strength of 55.0% ABV. Only 343 bottles were produced, without added colouring or chill filtration.
Food Pairing: Aged cheddar, roasted almonds, dark chocolate, sticky toffee pudding, dried figs or orange-chocolate desserts.
Tasting Notes: Rich and sherry-forward with dried fruit, caramel and chocolate balanced by citrus, toasted nuts, grassy freshness and warming oak spice.
Nose: Dried figs and golden raisins with soft caramel, herbal freshness and rich sherry character.
Palate: Toffee and citrus peel accompanied by milk chocolate, toasted nuts and a subtle grassy character.
Finish: Long and warming with lingering sherry sweetness, oak spice and crisp green apple.
Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature, then add a few drops of water to open the dried-fruit, chocolate and citrus notes.
