About the TATE Jack's Vineyard Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 750ml
Jacks Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautiful deep purple. The wine is intensely fragrant with black raspberry, anise and fresh truffles. Acai berries, plums and light roast coffee is also apparent. The wine has a wonderful mouthfeel, moving to the cocoa dust tannins that Howell Mountain is known for, followed by fresh vanilla bean, slight eucalyptus and dark berry fruit. The tannins are softer than in previous years, but definitely present in a light chalky way with great mountain acidity. This is a great example of a single-vineyard site on Howell Mountain during and should age wonderfully over the next 12-13 years (2031-2032).
