About the Talisker Dark Storm Single Malt Scotch 1L
Talisker Dark Storm is a bold, smoky Single Malt Scotch Whisky produced at Talisker Distillery on the Isle of Skye. Originally created for the travel-retail market and bottled at 45.8% ABV, this no-age-statement expression is matured in heavily charred oak casks, intensifying Talisker’s characteristic combination of maritime smoke, peppery spice and sweetness. The additional influence of charred wood brings darker roasted and smoky notes while retaining bright fruit and coastal character.
Food Pairing: Smoked salmon, grilled steak, barbecue ribs, smoked cheeses, charred vegetables or dark chocolate.
Tasting Notes: Robust and smoky with coastal salinity, bright fruit, charred oak, warming pepper and underlying sweetness.
Nose: Smoke and charred oak with bright fruit, citrus, berries and a touch of sweet spice.
Palate: Rich peat smoke and maritime salinity balanced by citrus, sweet malt, fruit, oak char and warming pepper.
Finish: Long, smoky and warming with lingering pepper, charred oak, citrus and gentle sweetness.
Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature or add a few drops of water to open the fruit and smoky character. It also works particularly well alongside grilled or smoked foods
