About the Taittinger Prelude Grand Crus Brut
The Taittinger Prélude Grands Crus is a rare non-vintage Champagne crafted exclusively from "first press" juice (the cuvée) of 100% Grand Cru vineyards. This prestige blend features an equal 50/50 split of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, sourced from the most prestigious villages in the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims. Unlike the house’s standard non-vintage labels, Prélude undergoes extensive ageing for five years in the cellar, resulting in a remarkable balance between youthful freshness and mature complexity. The wine is celebrated for its fine, lingering bubbles and a sophisticated aromatic profile of elderflower, white peach, and cinnamon, underpinned by a distinct mineral backbone. Its powerful yet elegant structure makes it a "gastronomic" Champagne, ideally suited for refined seafood dishes like grilled sea bass or lobster.
