About the Taittinger Brut Vintage
The Taittinger Brut Millésimé is an elegant, single-year Champagne produced exclusively when harvests meet the house’s rigorous standards for excellence. Unlike the house's signature non-vintage blend, this vintage expression is crafted from an equal 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, primarily sourced from Grand Cru (70%) and Premier Cru vineyards. Each bottle undergoes extensive ageing for five years in the cellar to develop its characteristic complexity and fine, persistent bubbles. The resulting wine is known for its superb energy and precision, typically opening with a bouquet of white flowers, ripe orchard fruits like pear and peach, and nuanced notes of toasted almonds, gingerbread, or citrus peel. Its rich structure and long, mineral-driven finish make it a versatile pairing for refined dishes such as scallop carpaccio, grilled prawns, or even white meats and aged cheeses.
