About the San Marzano Susco Susumaniello Salento 2020
The Susco red wine is produced by San Marzano in Puglia within the Salento appellation.
The wine is produced from 100% Susumaniello grapes, which are macerated and fermented with selected yeasts for about 10 days at a controlled temperature. Aging takes place in French and American oak barriques for 6 months.
Ruby red in colour, the nose is dominated by aromas of red fruits and balsamic and spicy notes. The sip is fresh and structured, with a good aromatic persistence.
Ideal in combination with stewed meats, sliced beef and aged cheeses.
91 Points - James Suckling
"A bold, structured red with dark fruit, spice, and earthy tones. Rich and full-bodied, showcasing a unique Puglian grape."
