Stormy Weather Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is a spectacular, ultra-premium boutique expression of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon crafted by winemaker Cameron Woodbridge. Sourced entirely from the sun-drenched vineyards of Calistoga, this powerful Napa Valley wine underwent 4 days of cold soaking followed by extended post-fermentation maceration, before being matured for 29 months in 100% new French oak barrels. In the glass, it displays an opaque, near-black color with brilliant purple framing at the rim. The highly expressive, opulent bouquet reveals deep aromas of blackcurrant, juicy blueberry compote, and cassis liqueur, intricately layered with complex notes of unsmoked cigars, tapenade, pie spice, and crushed quartz. On the palate, it is full-bodied, plush, and hedonistic, delivering a densely concentrated core of sweet dark fruits and dark chocolate that is seamlessly balanced by fine-grained, silky tannins and an energetic acidity, leading to a remarkably long, spicy, and elevated finish.
