Starlight Distillery Carl T Huber's Single Barrel Port Bourbon

Produced by Starlight Distillery on the Huber family estate in Starlight, Indiana, Carl T. Single Barrel Port Finished Bourbon begins with the distillery’s sweet-mash bourbon, produced from its signature three-grain and four-grain recipes and double pot distilled. After maturing for at least four years in new charred American oak, selected barrels receive additional maturation in Port casks, adding concentrated dark-fruit character to the bourbon’s caramel, vanilla and oak foundation.

Food Pairing: Dark chocolate, roasted duck, barbecue pork, aged cheddar, berry desserts, or bread pudding with caramel sauce.

Tasting Notes: Rich and fruit-forward, combining classic bourbon caramel and vanilla with dried fruit, chocolate, ripe berries, warming spice and seasoned oak.

Nose: Rich and aromatic, with caramel and vanilla joined by dried red fruit, dark berries, toasted oak and gentle baking spice.

Palate: Full and layered, developing dried fruit, plum and raspberry alongside chocolate, caramel, vanilla and warming bourbon spice.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering dark fruit, oak and spice supported by a gradually fading caramel sweetness.

Serve: Enjoy neat in a Glencairn or tulip-shaped glass; a small amount of water can help open the darker fruit, vanilla and spice character, particularly with higher-proof single-barrel selections.
