Stagg Batch 26B

Produced by Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, Stagg Batch 26B is an uncut and unfiltered Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey bottled at barrel proof. Released in summer 2026 at 125.2 proof (62.60% ABV), it is the lowest-proof Stagg batch released to date, while retaining the concentrated character of the series. Built from Buffalo Trace’s low-rye Mash Bill #1 and matured in new charred oak, it offers a rich combination of dark cherry, caramel and brown sugar with chocolate, baking spice and seasoned oak.

Food Pairing: Smoked brisket, grilled steak, aged cheddar, pecan pie, dark chocolate, or caramel desserts with toasted nuts.

Tasting Notes: Rich and full-bodied, balancing dark fruit and caramelized sweetness with brown sugar, chocolate, vanilla, seasoned oak and warming baking spice.

Nose: Rich and aromatic, with dark cherry, caramel and molasses accompanied by vanilla, brown sugar, gingerbread and warming cinnamon spice.

Palate: Bold and coating, developing cherry and dark caramel alongside brown sugar, vanilla, baking spice and seasoned oak.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering caramel, molasses, dark fruit and oak complemented by persistent sweet spice.

Serve: Enjoy neat in a Glencairn or tulip-shaped whisky glass; at 62.60% ABV, gradually adding a few drops of water can reveal additional fruit, caramel and spice while moderating the barrel-proof intensity.
