Stagg Batch 24A

Produced by Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, Stagg Batch 24A is an uncut and unfiltered Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey bottled at barrel proof. Released in summer 2024 at 127.6 proof (63.80% ABV), it delivers the bold, concentrated character associated with the Stagg series, combining dark cherry and caramelized sweetness with chocolate, brown sugar, vanilla, charred oak and warming baking spice.

Food Pairing: Smoked brisket, grilled steak, aged cheddar, pecan pie, dark chocolate, or caramel desserts with roasted nuts.

Tasting Notes: Rich and full-bodied, combining dark fruit and caramel with chocolate, brown sugar, vanilla, charred oak and assertive warming spice.

Nose: Concentrated and aromatic, with dark cherry, caramel and brown sugar accompanied by vanilla, toasted oak and warm baking spices.

Palate: Powerful and mouth-coating, developing chocolate, brown sugar and dark fruit alongside caramel, vanilla, cinnamon and charred oak.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering cherry, cloves, caramelized sweetness and seasoned oak accompanied by persistent barrel spice.

Serve: Enjoy neat in a Glencairn or tulip-shaped glass; at 63.80% ABV, gradually adding a few drops of water can help open its fruit, chocolate and caramel character while softening the barrel-proof intensity.
