Stagg Batch 24C

Produced by Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, Stagg Batch 24C is a barrel-proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey released in winter 2024. Formerly marketed under the Stagg Jr. name, Stagg is bottled uncut and unfiltered to showcase the intensity of the whiskey directly from the barrel. Batch 24C is bottled at 128.9 proof, or 64.45% ABV, delivering a powerful profile of dark fruit, caramel and chocolate alongside cinnamon, charred oak and warming spice.

Food Pairing: Smoked brisket, grilled steak, aged cheddar, dark chocolate, pecan pie, or caramel desserts with roasted nuts.

Tasting Notes: Powerful and full-bodied, combining concentrated cherry and dark fruit with caramel, chocolate, toasted oak and assertive warming spice.

Nose: Rich and intense, with dark cherry and caramel accompanied by vanilla, toasted oak, brown sugar and warming baking spices.

Palate: Bold and concentrated, developing cherry and caramel alongside dark chocolate, cinnamon, charred oak and peppery spice.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering cherry, cinnamon, toasted oak and dark sweetness accompanied by persistent barrel spice.

Serve: Enjoy neat in a Glencairn or tulip-shaped glass; at 64.45% ABV, adding water gradually can help open the fruit, caramel and oak while softening the barrel-proof intensity.
