About the St. Supery Dollarhide Sauvignon Blanc 2021 750ml
Brilliant hues of pale yellow and green present this white wine. Fresh aromas of grapefruit, kiwi, and fennel are intertwined with a vanillin thread, evidence of the element of subtle new French oak. Yellow grapefruit and lime zest flavors follow with the essence of ripe pear, while the toasted oak qualities of the barrel maturation have encouraged a round, rich mouth feel, along with the subtle creaminess of the sur-lie maturation. This is a crisp yet rich flavorful Sauvignon Blanc
Wine Spectator
Distinctive, delivering lemon meringue and dried honeysuckle, with accents of fresh basil and lemongrass that add an aromatic twist to a core of citrus and melon. Drink now.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
A portion (16%) of the 2021 Sauvignon Blanc Dollarhide Estate Vineyard was matured in wood, so there's a delicate hint of pencil shavings on the nose, accenting scents of fig, melon and tangerine. It's a bit riper and fleshier in the mouth than the estate bottling but still with excellent freshness and a bright, crisp finish. Best After 2022
