About the St. Supery Dollarhide Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
This Cabernet Sauvignon presents with deep, dark reds and purples. Aromas are opulent with ripe blackberry, cassis, black plum, espresso as well as a subtle thread of anise. A rich, dense profile follows with flavors of dark, ripe, blackberry, black plum and dark chocolate, with a fine French oak influence. This is a deep, structured wine with excellent fine-grained tannins.
Aromas of blackcurrants, sweet tobacco, vanilla, chocolate and graphite. Hints of bay leaf, too. Tight and chewy with full body and ripe yet firm tannins. Polished and refined. Long finish with a lingering crushed-stone sensation. Needs a few years to soften, but already delicious to taste. Try after 2025.
