St-Remy 140th Anniversary Edition Brandy

St-Remy 140th Anniversary Edition Brandy is a limited French brandy created by Master Blender Cecile Roudaut to celebrate 140 years of St-Remy craftsmanship. The unique blend brings together historic eaux-de-vie inherited from the previous Master Blender, the double-matured St-Remy Signature, and an experimental component finished in acacia wood, uniting the house's past, present, and future. Selected eaux-de-vie are aged in 50-year-old casks from St-Remy's historic 1886 distillery in Machecoul, producing an intensely complex 43% ABV expression dominated by mature wood, orchard fruit, warm spice, vanilla, nuts, and rich gourmand notes. The limited-edition bottle itself draws inspiration from St-Remy's historic 1917 "Fine de Retz" bottle.

Food Pairing: Crayfish veloute, pigeon, salmon, and rich chocolate desserts.

Tasting Notes: Luminous dark amber with mahogany glints, offering an intense and exceptionally complex profile where mature wood gradually develops into rich, sweet gourmand notes.

Nose: Complex and wood-forward, with oak, exotic woods, and tonka bean followed by plum, apple, and pear, then honey, mocha, toffee, bourbon vanilla, almond, walnut, nutmeg, and pepper.

Palate: Initially woody, developing vanilla, spice, brioche, pastry, and almond, with subtle smokiness and a touch of astringency.

Finish: Long, with the mature woody character evolving toward sweeter gourmand notes.

Serve: Best enjoyed neat.
