Springbank 10 Year Old Local Barley 2015

Springbank 10 Year Old Local Barley is the 2025 edition of the distillery’s highly sought-after grain-to-glass series. Produced using traditional Bere barley grown at Clochkiel Farm near Campbeltown, this limited release was matured for ten years in a combination of 60% Bourbon and 40% Sherry casks. Bottled at 55.2% ABV, natural colour and without chill filtration, it showcases Springbank’s distinctive combination of locally grown barley, traditional production and Campbeltown character.

Food Pairing: Aged cheddar, roasted mushrooms, smoked beef, glazed pork, dried figs, dark chocolate or treacle pudding.

Tasting Notes: Rich and characterful, balancing dark fruit sweetness with savoury, earthy flavours, liquorice and smoky Campbeltown character.

Nose: Fig rolls, date syrup and ripe plums accompanied by aromatic star anise.

Palate: Savoury and complex with burdock, shiitake mushrooms, tamari soy sauce and liquorice.

Finish: Campfire ash develops alongside rich treacle and molasses sweetness.

Serve: Enjoy neat initially, then add a few drops of water to gradually open the fruit, savoury malt and smoky notes.
