Springbank 10 Year Old Fino Cask Matured 2015

Springbank 10 Year Old Fino Cask Matured is the fourth release in Springbank’s five-part Sherry Wood series. Distilled in July 2015 and bottled in October 2025, it spent its first 4 years in refill Bourbon casks before a further 6 years in fresh Fino Sherry hogsheads. Bottled at 55% ABV, the limited release comprises 11,400 bottles and combines Springbank’s oily, maritime character with the dry, nutty and saline influence associated with Fino Sherry maturation. 

Food Pairing: Salted almonds, grilled prawns, smoked salmon, Manchego cheese, roast pork, charcuterie or citrus-based desserts.

Tasting Notes: Fresh and complex, balancing bright citrus and preserved fruit with creamy sweetness, nuts, spice and the drier, saline character of Fino Sherry.

Nose: Blood orange, brandy snaps, vanilla custard and preserved fruits, with additional citrus and subtle mineral character.

Palate: Cinnamon sugar, fresh mint, praline, Morello cherries and lemon curd, developing a pleasantly dry and nutty character.

Finish: Long and refreshing with key lime, cola-bottle sweetness and maple syrup, accompanied by lingering coastal and Sherry notes. 

Serve: Enjoy neat initially, then add a few drops of water to reveal more citrus, fruit, nuttiness and maritime character.
