Somerston Priest Ranch Cabernet 750ml

new French oak and 60% once-used French oak barrels. The lees were stirred for the first year, followed by three racking in the second year of aging. The wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered.

HARVEST NOTES

The 2021 season started with very little rain in the Napa Valley, resulting in smaller berry sizes and yields per vine. At Somerston Estate, we dropped fruit during the growing season to allow the vines to put their energy into producing a limited amount of quality fruit. One of our smallest producing vintages, the 2021 wines are full of flavor and offer incredible intensity.

Tasting Notes
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is estate grown, produced and bottled using fruit from 22 distinct blocks throughout our property. A wine with all the hallmarks of a classic Napa Cabernet, it exudes lively aromas of fresh red cherries, black licorice, and a touch of baking spices. The aromas continue onto the palate with notes of chocolate-covered blueberries, fresh herbs, and espresso. This Cabernet is smooth on the palate with silky and velvety tannins, which encourages you to enjoy it now but has the depth to be enjoyed for years to come.
