Marchesi Antinori Solaia 2006

Marchesi Antinori Solaia 2006 is a monumentally structured, benchmark Super Tuscan red wine crafted from the famous 20-hectare southwest-facing Solaia vineyard, located on the Tenuta Tignanello estate in the heart of Chianti Classico. Aged for 18 months in new French oak barriques, it displays a deep ruby-purple hue accompanied by an extraordinarily complex bouquet of ripe blackcurrant, dark plum, wild blackberry, and graphite, seamlessly integrated with notes of dark chocolate, sweet tobacco, espresso bean, crushed violet, and dried herbs. On the palate, it exhibits immense power, weight, and focus, offering ultra-fine, velvety tannins and a vibrant line of acidity that carries its concentrated core of dark fruit into an extraordinarily long, elegant, and persistent finish.

Food Pairing: Pairs magnificently with Bistecca alla Fiorentina, roasted rack of lamb, braised beef short ribs, wild boar ragù, or well-aged Pecorino Toscano cheese.
