Slaughter House Whiskey

Produced by The Splinter Group, Slaughter House American Whiskey is a wine-finished American whiskey created using sourced spirit and the winemaking expertise behind the Napa Valley-based company. Made from a high-corn mashbill of 85% corn, 8% wheat, 6% rye and 1% malted barley, the whiskey is aged for nine years in American oak before additional maturation in French oak barrels previously used for Papillon, a Bordeaux-style red wine from Orin Swift. Bottled at 44% ABV, it combines caramelized sweetness, dark fruit and vanilla with baking spice, toasted oak and rich wine-cask influence.

Food Pairing: Grilled steak, barbecue beef, aged cheddar, dark chocolate, berry desserts, or pecan pie with caramel.

Tasting Notes: Rich and layered, balancing caramelized sugar and butterscotch with dark fruit, vanilla, baking spices and toasted oak.
