About the Skorpios Extra Anejo "Year of the Snake" Cognac Cask Finish Tequila
Skorpios 1618 Extra Añejo "Year of the Snake" is an ultra-premium, limited-edition tequila that merges the artistry of Mexican distilling with the refined heritage of French viticulture. Crafted from 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agave in the Jalisco Highlands, this spirit undergoes an extensive maturation process of over three years. It is uniquely finished in hand-selected French Cognac casks, a secondary aging process that imparts a sophisticated complexity rarely found in traditional tequilas. On the nose, it reveals an opulent bouquet of roasted agave, golden raisins, and dried apricots, seamlessly interwoven with elegant notes of rancio, toasted oak, and vanilla. The palate is exceptionally rich and velvety, showcasing layers of dark honey, butterscotch, and subtle cognac-induced spice, leading to a long, decadent finish with a persistent, silky warmth.
