About the Single Cask Nation Foursquare 11 Year Old 55.9% 700ml
Nose: Warm caramel cover baked pears, apple crumble (with a focus on the light brown sugar), new leather, and a walk in humidor. Returning to the nose after the first couple of sips all sorts of fruits come out: casaba melon, starfruit, and passionfruit.
Palate: Very rich and oily texture, delicate notes of browned pinepple before the fruitiness amplifies: this muscat grapes, honey dew melon, and hints of guava. As we near the finish some more delicate floral notes appear; think chamomile tea.
FInish: Long and peppery, caramel and brown sugar return then slowly fade away.
