Se Busca Joven Mezcal Artesanal

Crafted in San Juan del Río, Oaxaca, Mexico, Se Busca Joven is an artisanal unaged mezcal produced by maestras mezcaleras Rodolfo and Mary Lopez Cerna. Named to honor the fearless women of the Mexican Revolution (the Soldaderas), this expression represents the foundational unaged spirit of the Se Busca portfolio. Made from 100% estate-grown Espadín agave (Agave angustifolia) maturing for 7 to 9 years, the mature piñas are slow-cooked in traditional underground conical stone pit ovens fueled by oak and mesquite wood, crushed using a horse-drawn stone tahona wheel, and open-fermented in pine wood tubs with natural airborne yeasts. Double-distilled in classic copper pot stills, this unaged expression delivers a beautifully balanced, vibrant profile highlighting sweet cooked agave, bright citrus peel, soft mesquite smoke, and green herbal complexity.

Food Pairing: Fresh ceviche with citrus, grilled pork carnitas, fish tacos with chipotle crema, mole verde, goat cheese crostini, or dark chocolate with sea salt.
