Masterfully grown by the Savian family in the tenaciously stubborn, mineral-dense calcareous clay soils of Lison-Pramaggiore, this pure expression of the native Refosco grape variety opens with an incredibly rich and rustic bouquet of wild blackberries, sour black cherries, and ripe forest plums. The complex nose is beautifully supported by regional characteristics of dark cocoa powder, damp forest floor, sweet licorice root, and a punchy hint of freshly crushed black peppercorns. On the palate, it balances a muscular, medium-to-full-bodied dark fruit core and a vibrant, linear alpine acidity with structured, robust tannins, concluding in a remarkably persistent, dry, and slightly herbaceous finish marked by a clean streak of savory earthiness.
