About the Santa Cristina Casasole Orvieto Abbocato 2021/2023 750ml
This is the seventh most popular Orvieto Classico wine. This wine has been climbing in popularity during the year.
Critic tasting note: (2010 vintage) "An intriguing blend of 40 percent procanico, 40 grechetto, 15 verdello and 5 percent drupeggio and malvasia with 50 grams of residual sugar and only 10 percent alcohol. The aromas are rich and suggest ripe banana with an orange blossom undertone. The palate is sweet with decent acidity. This could certainly work with spicy "hot" Asian dishes. A classic old style Orvieto form the past. (Anthony Gismondi)." - 86/100, Gismondi on Wine
88 points Wine Spectator
89 points James Suckling
87 points Decanter
