Sangam World Malt Whisky

Produced by Rampur Distillery in Uttar Pradesh, India, Sangam World Malt Whisky is a blended malt created by bringing together malt whiskies sourced from traditional European whisky-producing regions and the New World. Its name comes from the Hindi word for “confluence,” reflecting the combination of Eastern and Western whisky traditions. Bottled at 43% ABV and non-chill filtered, Sangam offers tropical fruit, floral notes and honeyed sweetness balanced by spice, salinity and delicate peat smoke.

Food Pairing: Grilled lamb, roasted pork, smoked salmon, aged cheese, fruit tart, or dark chocolate with honey and warming spices.

Tasting Notes: Complex and creamy, balancing tropical fruit and floral character with honey, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, gentle salinity and delicate peat smoke.

Nose: Tropical lychee, green apple, pear and apricot lead into citrus, rose and heather, followed by honey, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Palate: Creamy and fruit-forward, with delicate peat smoke and salinity developing into cinnamon, nutmeg, oaky vanilla, honey and a subtle wine-like texture.

Finish: Pleasantly long and balanced, with lingering fruit, peat smoke, warming spices, vanilla and gentle sweetness.

Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature in a Glencairn or tulip-shaped glass; a few drops of water can help reveal additional fruit, floral and smoky character.
