About the Luciano Sandrone Vite Talin Barolo
A magnificent Northern Italian red wine displaying a deep, concentrated ruby color with dark garnet reflections. Born from a unique, low-yielding ancient clone of Nebbiolo discovered by Luciano Sandrone in 1987, this rare, highly collectible masterpiece opens with an aristocratic and soaring bouquet of dried cherries, pomegranate molasses, blood orange zest, and fresh wild violets. The remarkably rich profile is beautifully layered with distinctive regional characters of melted road tar, wet crushed gravel, sweet pipe tobacco, black licorice, and incense. On the palate, it balances a powerful, full-bodied fruit weight and a vibrant, linear mountain acidity with formidable, tightly knit, and noble tannins, culminating in a majestic, exceptionally persistent finish marked by a distinct savory, iron-rich mineral depth.
Food Pairing: Pairs flawlessly with roasted wild game, slow-braised venison or beef pot roast, rich truffle-infused dishes, and long-aged Parmigiano-Reggiano or Pecorino cheeses.
