A trailblazing Canadian expression of the classic Italian varietal, historically recognized as the first Sangiovese produced as a VQA wine in Canada. This medium to full-bodied red features a bright ruby or garnet hue and a complex, warming bouquet of red cherry, cedar chest, earth, and savory herbs. The palate is characterized by soft, drying tannins, vibrant food-friendly acidity, and concentrated flavors of tart red berries, plum, and spice, culminating in an extra-dry finish with notes of black tea and pomegranate.
