A magnificent Central Italian red wine displaying a dense, deeply concentrated purplish-ruby hue. Born from an experimental partnership with the universities of Florence and Pisa to rescue extinct Tuscan grapes, this historic, 100% monovarietal bottling opens with a remarkably rich and complex nose of wild blackcurrants, elderberries, and plum preserves. The fragrant profile is beautifully layered with exotic regional notes of sweet tobacco leaf, cinnamon, clove, and dark mocha derived from nearly two years of aging in French oak barriques. On the palate, it balances a fleshy, full-bodied fruit core and a vibrant, lifelike alpine acidity with robust, velvety-smooth tannins, culminating in an exceptionally long, savory, and mineral-driven finish.
