Composed primarily of estate-grown Prugnolo Gentile (Sangiovese) with a small touch of Colorino, this wine underwent 24 months of aging in oak barrels (70% in large casks, 30% in tonneaux) followed by at least 12 months of bottle refinement. On the nose, it reveals an incredibly expressive, fragrant bouquet of ripe red cherries, dark plums, and wild violets, gracefully layered with notes of sweet tobacco, warm baking spices, and fresh mint.
