Sakurao Single Malt Sherry Cask Japanese Whisky

Produced by SAKURAO Brewery and Distillery in Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima, Sakurao Sherry Cask Stillman’s Selection is a limited Japanese single malt created from carefully selected sherry-matured whiskies chosen by the distillery’s stillman. Bottled at 50% ABV, it combines rich sherry character with dark chocolate, ripe fruit and creamy sweetness alongside a restrained layer of peat. Its coastal maturation contributes additional depth and a long, rich finish.

Food Pairing: Roasted duck, grilled beef, aged cheese, dark chocolate, fruit cake, or cherry desserts with toasted nuts.

Tasting Notes: Rich and sherry-driven, balancing dark chocolate and ripe fruit with creamy sweetness, dried fruit, gentle smoke and subtle peat.

Nose: Rich and aromatic, with ripe fruit and gentle sweetness accompanied by bitter chocolate and subtle smoky character.

Palate: Full and creamy, developing bitter chocolate and ripe cherry alongside sherry sweetness, dark fruit and restrained peat smoke.

Finish: Deep and long-lasting, with lingering dark chocolate, rich sweetness, seasoned oak and a subtle peaty character.

Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature in a Glencairn or tulip-shaped whisky glass; a few drops of water can reveal additional fruit, chocolate and sherry character.
