An independent bottling of Linkwood. This expression was drawn from 8 ex-bourbon barrels of whisky distilled in 2010 and aged for a minimum of 10 years before marrying. It was bottled in 2022 at 48% abv. without chill-filtration or additional coloring.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose – An independent bottling of Linkwood. This expression was drawn from 8 ex-bourbon barrels of whisky distilled in 2010 and aged for a minimum of 10 years before marrying. It was bottled in 2022 at 48% abv. without chill-filtration or additional coloring.
Palate – The palate spices up from the nose, with notes of glacé ginger, pepper and baking spice folded through creamy caramel. The fruit continues - melon and orchard fruits - and cuts through the sweet gingery spice.
Finish – You are left reminiscing of summers past - citrus starts to shine through at the end, with the melon and blossom remaining on your palate for a lovely long finish.
