Ruffino Alauda 2021

Ruffino Alauda 2021 is an elegant, full-bodied Super Tuscan crafted at the Tenuta Poggio Casciano estate. Made primarily from Cabernet Franc and Merlot, it undergoes 24 months of aging in French oak barriques to produce a deeply structured, harmoniously balanced profile. In the glass, it displays a dark ruby red color with violet overtones, yielding aromas of dark plum, wild blackberry, espresso, crushed lavender, and toasted cedar wood. The palate delivers a concentration of dark berry fruit framed by firm, velvety tannins, balanced acidity, and tertiary accents of balsamic, tobacco, and cocoa that linger on a refined, mouthwatering finish.

Food Pairing: Pairs brilliantly with Bistecca alla Fiorentina, wild boar pappardelle, braised short ribs, roasted lamb shoulder, and aged Pecorino cheese.
