Roper’s Hold 6 Year Old Bourbon

Roper’s Hold 6 Year Bourbon is a limited American bourbon selected and bottled by Calgary’s True Wild Distilling for its Roper’s Hold whisky series. Originally distilled at the historic Barton Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, the bourbon was aged for six years before being finished in new toasted oak casks. Bottled at 50% ABV, the additional oak finishing builds on the mature bourbon base with concentrated vanilla, caramel, toasted wood and warming spice.

Food Pairing: Smoked brisket, barbecue ribs, grilled steak, aged cheddar, pecan pie, or dark chocolate with caramel and toasted nuts.

Tasting Notes: Rich and full-bodied, combining caramel and vanilla sweetness with toasted oak, warming spice and mature bourbon character.

Nose: Sweet and oak-forward, with vanilla and caramel accompanied by toasted wood and gentle baking spice.

Palate: Full and warming, developing caramelized sweetness and vanilla alongside toasted oak, mature grain and robust spice.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering toasted oak, vanilla, caramel and baking spice.

Serve: Enjoy neat, over a large cube of ice, or with a few drops of water to open its vanilla, caramel and toasted-oak character.
