About the Robert Gilvesy Brut Nature Furmin
Crafted by winemaker Robert Gilvesy at Gilvesy Winery on the extinct volcanic slopes of Mount Szent György in the Badacsony region of Hungary, this sparkling wine (Pezsgő) is a pure, single-varietal expression of Furmint. Sourced from organically farmed old vines rooted in mineral-rich basalt tuff, volcanic ash, and clay soils, the grapes are hand-harvested to preserve bright natural acidity and mineral precision. Produced using the traditional method (Méthode Traditionnelle) with secondary fermentation in the bottle and zero dosage added upon disgorgement (Brut Nature), it showcases the raw elegance and volcanic intensity of Badacsony terroir.
Food Pairing: Fresh oysters, caviar, pan-seared scallops, sushi and sashimi, goat cheese crostini, and light seafood carpaccio.
