Reservoir Founder's Rye

A beautifully robust and unapologetic craft whiskey from Virginia. Reservoir Founder’s Rye is crafted from a mash bill of 100% locally sourced Virginia rye grain. It is aged in custom-made, heavily charred quarter-casks, which massively accelerates the whiskey's interaction with the wood. Bottled at a sturdy 100 proof, this unique process extracts intense, heavy layers of dark caramel, thick oak, and deep, dark chocolate to perfectly complement the sharp, spicy kick of the rye grain.

NOSE

Intense and earthy with heavy aromas of freshly baked rye bread, dark cocoa, heavy barrel char, and black pepper.

PALATE

Thick, rich, and intensely woody. A bold rush of spicy cinnamon and rye grain is beautifully tempered by deep, dark brown sugar, molasses, and toasted vanilla.

FINISH

Long, dry, and exceptionally warming with a lingering, spicy oak character.
