Remy Martin VSOP Cognac

Produced by the house of Rémy Martin, founded in 1724, Rémy Martin VSOP is the benchmark world standard for Very Superior Old Pale Cognac. Uniquely crafted exclusively as a Cognac Fine Champagne, this expression is a blend of eaux-de-vie sourced solely from the prestigious Grande Champagne (at least 50%) and Petite Champagne crus. Distilled on the lees in small copper pot stills, the spirit matures in old, fine-grained Limousin oak casks, giving it a characteristic golden amber color, rich stone fruit aromatics, smooth oak structure, and vibrant floral elegance.

Food Pairing: Aged cheeses like Gouda or Comte, duck breast with fruit glaze, dark chocolate truffles, or enjoyed as a refined aperitif.

Tasting Notes: Bright golden-amber with rich copper highlights, displaying medium body and clean, elegant legs along the glass.

Nose: Vibrant, fruity, and floral, opening with ripe summer stone fruit, apricot, and peach, followed by wild violet, sweet vanilla, and light oak spice.

Palate: Harmonious, rounded, and smooth on the palate, featuring sweet ripe plum, candied fruit, and honey upfront before developing into soft wood tannins, licorice, and gentle baking spice.

Finish: Medium-to-long, clean, and elegant with lingering notes of warm stone fruit, dried flowers, and delicate oak spice.

Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature, over ice, topped with ginger ale, or as an elevated base in classic cocktails like the Sidecar or French 75.
