Redemption Wheated Bourbon

A silky, award-winning departure from the "Rye Revival"! While Redemption is typically defined by bold spice, their Wheated Bourbon explores the softer side of the grain. Distilled at MGP in Indiana and aged for a minimum of four years in new charred oak, it features a unique mash bill of 51% corn, 45% winter wheat, and 4% malted barley. This exceptionally high wheat content (most "wheaters" only use 15-20%) results in a remarkably mellow and harmonious spirit. Bottled at a sturdy 96 proof (48% ABV), it delivers a creamy, pastry-like complexity that earned it a Double Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

NOSE

Highly aromatic and "bakery-forward." Inviting notes of fresh-baked wheat bread and candied ginger are layered over sage, lavender, and ripe pear.

PALATE

Silky and harmonious with a gentle, oily mouthfeel. Lush flavors of roasted coffee beans, hazelnut, and smoked toffee are beautifully balanced by a delicate tingle of black pepper and cardamom.

FINISH

Medium-long and warming. It leaves a comforting trail of toasted bread crust, malted sweetness, and a touch of floral honey.
