About the Raul Perez 'Ultreia' Saint Jacques 2022
Raul Perez 'Ultreia' Saint Jacques 2022 is an expressive, energetic, and fruit-forward Spanish red wine crafted by legendary winemaker Raúl Pérez from old-vine field-blend parcels planted between 1890 and 1940. Fermented with 100% whole clusters in open-top oak vats and aged in large used oak barrels and foudres, it displays inviting aromas of fresh wild raspberries, blackberries, dark plum, and violet flowers, layered with hints of black pepper spice, fennel, and wet stone minerality. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and juicy, balancing tender red fruit flavors with fine-grained tannins and a long, fresh finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with roasted lamb, grilled pork tenderloin, savory beef empanadas, wild mushroom crostini, charcuterie, and aged semi-hard cheeses.
