Port Askaig 100 Proof Islay Single Malt is a robust, cask-strength single malt Scotch whisky created by the independent bottler Elixir Distillers. Named after the historic port village on the east coast of Islay, this expression is bottled at the traditional British 100° proof (57.1% ABV). Sourced from an undisclosed Islay distillery (widely recognized by enthusiasts and industry experts as Caol Ila) and matured primarily in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, it is bottled without chill-filtration or added color, offering a potent balance of maritime peat smoke, crisp fruit, and vibrant minerality.

Food Pairing: Freshly shucked oysters, smoked salmon, charred ribeye steak, grilled calamari in chili oil, or strong goat cheese.

Tasting Notes : Pale gold to light straw in appearance with an oily, full-bodied, and robustly warming mouthfeel.

Nose : Dry and earthy peat smoke, maritime sea breeze, bright lemon and lime citrus, sweet vanilla, and subtle medicinal notes with a hint of toasted almond.
