Poplar Grove Syrah 2021 is a deep, energetic, and beautifully structured Canadian red wine that masterfully captures the unique potential of the South Okanagan terroir. Sourced from the estate's sun-drenched southeastern Osoyoos vineyard, this vintage co-ferments a touch of Viognier skins with the Syrah, adding striking aromatic lift. The nose bursts with a fragrant, multi-layered bouquet of black cherries, violet petals, and crushed black pepper, beautifully framed by suggestions of dark plum and sweet vanilla bean. On the palate, it exhibits a medium- to full-bodied framework driven by a concentrated core of juicy black raspberries and dark forest fruits. Balanced by a medium, refreshing vein of natural acidity and firm, well-integrated tannins built over 15 months of aging in French oak barriques, it glides into an oak-driven, long finish accented by a lingering, savory complexity.
