About the Fattoria Poggerino Vino Spumante Rose Metodo Classico
Crafted in the famed Chianti Classico subregion of Radda in Chianti, Tuscany, Fattoria Poggerino Vino Spumante Rosé Metodo Classico is a rare, exceptionally refined sparkling wine produced from 100% organically grown Sangiovese. Winemaker Piero Lanza practices meticulous biodynamic viticulture on high-elevation rocky galestro soils, bringing rare elegance and vibrant acidity to this traditional-method sparkling Rosé. Hand-harvested early to preserve bright natural acidity, the grapes undergo gentle direct pressing followed by primary fermentation in stainless steel. Secondary bottle fermentation (Metodo Classico) is followed by extended aging on the fine yeast lees for over 30 to 36 months in Poggerino’s cool cellars before zero-dosage or extra-brut disgorgement. The result is a luminous, gastronomic Tuscan sparkling wine that bridges the crisp focus of fine Champagne with the distinct red-berry soul of high-altitude Sangiovese.
Food Pairing: Freshly shucked oysters, tuna carpaccio, fried calamari, prosciutto di Parma, wild mushroom crostini, seared salmon, and aged goat cheese.
