About the Plymouth English Gin
Distilled at the historic Black Friars Distillery in Plymouth—the oldest working distillery in England operating since 1793—Plymouth Gin is a benchmark expression crafted using a secret blend of seven botanicals. Distilled in a single vintage copper pot still, it offers a slightly sweeter, distinctly earthy, and rich botanical profile compared to classic London Dry gins.
Food Pairing: Fresh oysters, fish and chips, smoked salmon, charcuterie boards, or goat cheese salad.
Tasting Notes: Crystal clear in appearance with a rich, smooth, and full-bodied mouthfeel.
Nose: Extremely aromatic with soft piney juniper, fresh lemon and sweet orange zest, earthy angelica root, and subtle cardamom spice.
Palate: Rich and remarkably well-balanced, opening with a softer, sweeter juniper tone followed by bright citrus oils, earthy roots, and warm coriander pepperiness.
Finish: Long, smooth, and dry with lingering notes of earthiness, citrus peel, and gentle pine.
Serve: Serve over large ice cubes with premium Indian tonic water, garnished with a slice of lemon or lime, or as the classic base for a Gimlet or Dry Martini.
