Piteira Vinho De Talha Tinto 2017 is a traditional, deeply authentic Portuguese red wine produced using centuries-old Roman winemaking techniques in the Alentejo subregion of Granja-Amareleja. Crafted exclusively from 100% Moreto grapes harvested from old vines, the wine undergoes natural fermentation and skin contact in large 2,000-liter clay amphorae (talhas). In the glass, it displays a deep ruby hue with rustic undertones. The nose presents wild red berries, stewed plums, clay dust minerality, dried herbs, and subtle spice notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and textured, featuring bright, natural acidity, firm rustic tannins, and a long, savory finish driven by earthy red fruit depth.
