Kendall-Jackson Jackson Estate Outland Ridge Pinot Noir 2022 is a concentrated, high-elevation red sourced from a remote vineyard perched at 1,500 feet in the rugged mountains of the Anderson Valley. This site sits above the fog line, exposing the vines to intense solar radiation and thin, well-drained soils that produce small berries with thick skins and deep phenolic ripeness. The winemaking involves small-lot fermentation and maturation in French oak (approximately 40%–50% new) to frame the wine's powerful mountain structure. It presents a deep ruby-purple hue with a perfumed bouquet of wild blueberries, dark cherries, and dried violets, accented by earthy notes of forest floor and graphite. On the palate, it is full-bodied and robust for the varietal, featuring muscular tannins and a long, savory finish.
