About the Pierre Peters Les Montjolys Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Brut
Crafted in the famed Côte des Blancs subregion of Champagne, France, Champagne Pierre Péters "Les Montjolys" Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs is an exceedingly rare, single-parcel cuvée from one of the most revered grower-producers in Champagne. Sourced exclusively from a legendary 0.5-hectare plot of old vines within "Les Montjolys" in the Grand Cru village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, this parcel boasts a unique microclimate with deeper clay-limestone soils overlying pure, active Belemnite chalk. Crafted under the meticulous direction of Rodolphe Péters, this wine showcases a richer, more opulent expression compared to its sister parcel, Les Chétillons, while maintaining the signature crystalline chalkiness and soaring acid structure of Le Mesnil. Produced in extremely limited quantities only in exceptional vintage years, it undergoes meticulous stainless steel vinification, extended lees aging for up to six to eight years in bottle, and receives a precise, minimal dosage.
Food Pairing: Freshly shucked oysters, pan-seared sea scallops with caviar, butter-poached lobster, king crab, roasted turbot in beurre blanc, and aged Comté cheese.
